Change Yourself - Short Stories For Kids

Change Yourself

Change Yourself: A king lived in a city. Whenever the king went out of the palace, he always went on his horse. Once he went out on foot to see his city and listen to the problems of the public.

At that time there were no shoes, so due to pebbles and stones on the ground, the feet of the king began to hurt. The king called a meeting of his ministers to solve this problem.
The suggestion of most ministers was that why not cover the entire city with a thick layer of leather. But for this a lot of money and other resources were required. Then a soldier standing near the king suggested that it is better than covering the entire city with a layer of leather, why don't we cover our feet with a layer of leather. This will not only keep our feet safe but also will not cost much money. The king was pleased to hear the soldier's suggestion and ordered to make "shoes" for everyone.
